FYL professionals volunteer at the MS Walk in Markham
Once again, the 2009 Markham-Stouffville MS Walk was a success. The sun was shining, the weather cooperated, the music was playing, the food was abundant, and the smiles were endless.
Needless to say, a good time was had by all. The enthusiasm was highly infectious and we couldn't help but join in the fun.
While Genevieve massaged walkers, runners and volunteers, Louisa and Fabian cheered on MS Walk participants at the finish line, and answered health related questions that anyone may have had.
FabYourLife would like to offer a special thank you to Jeff Scott and Sarah Chan from the MS Society for inviting us to participate in this great event.and also a BIG thank you to everyone who came by to meet us!
We look forward to participating again next year.

SECOND Annual OKA 5K Fun Run!
Ontario Kinesiology Association - Certified Kinesiologists, fitness enthusiasts and local families participated in the Second Annual OKA 5K Fun Run in Toronto on Sunday August 24th. The Run was held along the boardwalk at the edge of Lake Ontario, with post-run activities taking place again at the Balmy Beach Club.
With the help of sponsors such as CBI Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, New Balance, The Treadmill Factory, Rogers, The Score, Custom Rehab and Assessments Canada, PVL Fit Foods and others, the event grew to more than double the participants in comparison to the inaugural year. In total, we had over 100 registered participants.
The theme “MOVING FORWARD” continued from last year to carry on the momentum of our profession being regulated.
The partnership with The OKA 5K Fun Run and The Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) continued and we are very pleased to announce that the Ontario Kinesiology Association will be donating over $1000.00 from proceeds raised at the Fun Run to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
This event could not have been a success without the countless volunteer hours put in by the Fun Run Committee. A sincere expression of gratitude goes to each volunteer, as the event would not have been a success without everyone’s contributions!
